How we build products that actually work
Start with the sting test
Before a single line of code, we ask one question: what does the user wish simply stopped hurting? If we cannot answer in one sentence, we keep digging. Products built from vague ambitions become the swamps we have all inherited at some point in our careers.
Ship the smallest useful hive
An MVP should not be a museum. It should be a working beehive โ small, buzzing, and producing something of value from day one. Our rule of thumb: if a beta user cannot complete the core loop in under 60 seconds, it is not ready.
BeeSolio principle #1 โ every release must produce honey, not process.
Instrument before you decorate
- Track the core loop events first, everything else later
- Alert on user-visible failures, not internal trivia
- Read support tickets weekly โ they are free user research
Keep the comb clean
Room to grow matters more than having everything now. We archive dead features aggressively โ a lean product with a clean architecture can turn on a dime, which is exactly how bees survive.
Want to see these principles in the wild? Honey-check our products โ every one started exactly this way.
